Summertime fun
We have been having so much fun this summer (so far). The kids and I and Damon love to hike so we have been trying to dicover new trails once a week. Here are some pics from two of our hikes. We also went to the zoo the kids had a blast, Malique's favorite thing was the alligators. And Mekhi loves the monkeys. There are also some pictures from our super fun fourth of July.
Just chillin at Aunt Marci's watching fireworks.

Maliques fourth birthday
So last week my baby turned four, It hurts to think that in a year he will be going to SCHOOL!!! I am so not looking forward to that but I guess you gotta let go sometime. He had a great birthday we spent the day together as a family. Then later in the evening we had our friends come over to celebrate with us. Today is also our wedding aniversary, we have been married 9 years. I feel so lucky to have such a sweet and caring husband. He really is the best husband and father, and I don't take a single day of our marriage for granted. Love you Damon!!!

Well I've got a little bit of time to blog finally. Both my kids are sick so they are laying on the couch, and I can actually get stuff done. We had a great easter just spent time together as a family. The boys got kites so we attempted to fly those. Maliques birthday is almost here, and we have been talking about what he wants to do and what gifts he would want. He told me yesterday he wants a baby sister for his birthday ha ha. Kids are so cute you gotta love them.
Here are the kids coloring their easter eggs.
Easter morning the kids were so excited about their baskets.
We went to the park later and had all kinds of fun. I think Mekhi liked the bubble blowing the best.

Well so much for trying to keep this blog updated. I let go of all that and figured once a month is good. I just can't seem to find the time. The family is great, Damon is back to working normal hours. We actually get to see him on his days off. The boys are growing like crazy, in a weeks time Mekhi grew out of all of his pants. So unfortunatley, so close to warm weather we have to go out and buy new pants for the kid. Malique is very independant now, he doesn't need any help with anything, or so he like to think. Luckily he still adores his mom hopefully that will not change, ever! Now if we can just get the two of them to get along. life would be perfect. I have been busy redoing a bunch of furniture, it's fun, but a lot of work. In the end it's worth it though.

Christmas Joy
Okay I think it's about time I updated our blog. We missed a thanksgiving post so I definitley have to do a Christmas post.
The boys had such a great Christmas, they were spoiled this year. It was a very good day for all of us. We got to spend it with our friends and family. The boys made little christmas lists for Santa, and I think they got just about everything on their list and then some. Malique's biggest Christmas wish was a dinosaur.

Snow!!!
So this morning we woke up to a bunch of snow, our first snowfall this year. I guess I should be grateful that it skipped Halloween. But of course none at all would be nice too:) So the first thing we did was bundle the kids up and go out to play in it. Malique loved it of course, but Mekhi kept running over to the porch to get away from the falling snow. He kept saying he was soooo cold, so he didn't last long out there. (fine with me)

So it's the day after Halloween, we had so much fun. The kids now think that they can have candy for breakfast. The very first thing both of them asked for this morning when they woke up was their pumpkin pails. Boy, did we have a rough morning. Anyways, we went to trunk or treat and then decided to go around through the neighboorhood. Mekhi really got into it. Every house he yelled trick or treat and I made sure he knew to say thank you after a piece of candy was given to him. He also got a little to comfortable he felt like it was okay to just go on into some of the houses. We were in our friends neighboorhood and didn't really know people there, so that was not good. Malique had a blast we went with our next door neighboor. Their little boy and Malique have become fast friends. So I know they had a lot of fun together. Hope everyone had a good Halloween.
